Insurance/Compensation Limits

In case of an accident, compensation will be provided within the following limits:

Third-Party Liability Insurance: Unlimited
Collision Damage Waiver: Unlimited (with a deductible of 100,000 yen)
Passenger Personal Accident Insurance: 10 million yen
*Please note that compensation may not be provided if the accident is not reported to the police (no accident certificate).
*Also, please be aware that insurance benefits will not be paid and damages will be the customer’s responsibility in the following cases:

If someone other than the person who submitted the rental agreement drives and causes an accidentIf the accident is caused by driving without a licenseIf the accident is caused by drunk drivingIf the rental period is extended without prior notice and an accident occursIf there is a violation of the rental agreement or other provisions of the rental company

*In all cases, compensation will be subject to the terms and conditions of the insurance company.

Optional Compensation Plans

In case of damage to the rental car (including all equipment), the customer will be fully responsible for the compensation. If you subscribe to this plan, the amount that the customer is responsible for paying in case of repairs will be reduced to a fixed amount* called “one accident deductible.” At the Camper Rental Center, we offer three compensation plans.

*We recommend that you subscribe to this plan as repair costs for campers can be expensive.

・Standard Coverage

Service fee: 5,000 yen (tax included) per day

*Vehicle damage: Up to 110,000 yen (tax included) per accident will be the customer’s responsibility.
*Separate non-operation charge will be incurred.

・Premium Coverage

Service fee: 7,000 yen (tax included) per day

*Vehicle damage: Up to 110,000 yen (tax included) per accident will be the customer’s responsibility.

Non-Operation Charge (NOC)

In case of accident, theft, breakdown, or soiling, and if repair or cleaning of the vehicle is necessary during that period, you will be responsible for the following amount as compensation for business loss.

If the vehicle is returned to the planned return location by self-driving: 150,000 yen (tax-exempt).
If the vehicle cannot be returned to the planned return location due to inability to self-drive: 200,000 yen (tax-exempt).

  • If you have subscribed to the Premium Compensation, you will be exempt from this charge.
  • This charge will be applied regardless of whether the vehicle was reserved or not, if it is unable to be rented out due to being under repair.

Roadside Assistance

We have subscribed to a roadside assistance service to prepare for any unexpected trouble. In case of any trouble such as towing, dead battery, running out of gas, unlocking, puncture repair, or derailment, please contact the emergency contact number.

*If the transportation expenses exceed 165,000 yen (tax included), the excess amount will be borne by the customer.

*Please note that transportation and accommodation expenses for customers to travel from the accident site to their homes will not be covered if the rental car cannot be driven and is transported by a tow truck.

Contents and scope of Roadside Assistance

① Vehicle Transport Service

  • Coverage limit for one incident is 300,000 yen (including tax).
  • Any amount exceeding 300,000 yen (including tax) will be borne by the customer.
  • The vehicle will be transported to a designated factory or other location specified by our company.

② Emergency Response Service

  • In case the customer’s vehicle is unable to run due to a breakdown, dead battery, or other

vehicle-related issues, we will provide emergency response within approximately 30 minutes. However, any work not covered by the service or any amount exceeding the coverage limit will be borne by the customer.

Emergency response services include

The cost of repairing or replacing a damaged tire will be borne by the customer.

※2Gasoline empty (running out of fuel and unable to start the engine) is not covered.

※3We can only assist customers who can present a rental car rental certificate as identification (subject to certain conditions).

  • If the driver’s name on the rental certificate matches the name on the driver’s license
  • If the name of the recipient on the rental certificate matches the name of the corporation, and the customer can present a business card or employee ID, as well as identification.
  • If certain conditions are not met, the cost will be borne by the customer.
  • For any services not listed above, payment will be settled locally.

  • English support is available 24 hours a day, and other languages are available from 9:00 to 22:00.
  • If you make arrangements on your own without prior notice, we may not be able to provide guidance or assistance.

Note: Some of the roadside assistance services mentioned above are provided as part of our company’s insurance policy.

Regarding Customer Responsibility

□ Damage, soiling, and unpleasant odor of the car’s interior

  • For customers who have not subscribed to the additional compensation system, in case of damage, soiling, or unpleasant odor within the scope of normal use, repair costs and restoration expenses will be charged to the customer upon return of the vehicle.
  • For customers who have subscribed to the additional compensation system, there will be no charge for damage, soiling, or unpleasant odor of the car’s interior.

□ Pet-friendly vehicles

  • Only “dogs” are allowed to accompany you during your rental. The pet cleaning fee is a flat rate of 11,000 yen (tax included) per rental, regardless of the number of dogs or the breed.
  • Please note that only small dogs weighing less than 10kg as adults are permitted to accompany you.
  • In the event of any scratches, damages to seats or other parts of the vehicle caused by the dog, or if there are any incidents of urination, defecation, or unpleasant odors inside the vehicle, customers who have not enrolled in our additional coverage program will be responsible for the actual cost of restoration. Please kindly understand and acknowledge this in advance.
  • Smoking is prohibited inside the vehicle, and pets are not allowed in vehicles designated for non-pet use.

□ Use of the kitchen

  • While the vehicle is equipped with a gas stove, we kindly ask you to refrain from cooking dishes that emit strong odors or smoke.
  • Instead, we provide a complimentary portable gas stove for outdoor cooking. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a comfortable experience for all customers.

□ Confirmation of optional equipment installation

We cannot take responsibility for accidents caused by problems with the installation of optional equipment. Please install them yourself. Even if our staff installs the equipment on your behalf, please confirm the final installation yourself.

□ Caution regarding the use of car navigation

Car navigation is a device that assists in guiding the route to the destination, but it may display and guide incorrectly depending on driving conditions and driving locations. Please drive according to actual traffic regulations and road signs. We cannot take responsibility for any financial damages caused by incorrect displays or guidance, or damages caused by differences in the scheduled time.

□ In the case of changing the return time

Please return the car at the return time specified at the time of reservation. If you need to change the scheduled return time or if you cannot return the car on time, please contact our official LINE immediately. If you extend the rental period without permission, the insurance/compensation system may not apply, so please be aware of this.
We cannot accept returns after 6:00 PM for any reason, and the return will be made the next morning at 9:00 AM with an additional charge for one day.

□Fuel type for all vehicles is “light oil” (diesel)

Please be careful as all vehicles run on “light oil”. In the unlikely event that you mistakenly fill up with gasoline, please contact our company immediately without starting the engine and have the fuel tank cleaned. Any engine damage, cleaning, and repair costs resulting from mistaken fuel type will be fully borne by the customer regardless of whether they have subscribed to the additional compensation option system.

※Upon return, please fill up the tank within 3 km of the return location at a gas station. Please bring your receipt and make sure to have a receipt to confirm the type of fuel used when showing it to our staff.
If the fuel level is not filled up to full even by 1 memory when returning, you will be charged a refueling fee of 16,500 yen (tax included) regardless of the remaining amount. (Customers who have subscribed to Quick Return do not need to refuel at the time of return)

□ In case of parking or speeding violations

Please go to the appropriate police station promptly during the rental period, follow the necessary procedures, and pay the fine or penalty.

※If you fail to pay, you may be subject to immigration restrictions or property seizure, so please be careful.

□ In case of an accident or breakdown

  • *Even if it is a small scratch or dent on your own or the other party’s vehicle, if it occurs, an accident report is required.
  • *If an accident occurs, regardless of the size of the scratch or dent and the presence of the other party, it is necessary to report it to the police and our company.
  • *If the required procedures, such as reporting to the police and our company, are not carried out, insurance and compensation systems will not be applied.
  • *Recordings of customer calls may be made to accurately understand the contents. The handling of personal information will be in accordance with our privacy policy.
